Clear orthodontic retainers are made by taking impressions of your upper and lower teeth to make 3D models. A heat molded retainer material is then formed to the 3D models of your teeth.
- If office retainers are made using an in-office material called Essix Ace and can be provided to you in one to two days.
- Vivera retainers by Align Technology are made out of office and may take two to three weeks to fabricate.
